Cherilea Original Doctor Who Mechanoid Dalek Spacepod 1965

An original 1965 Cherilea Doctor Who Mechanoid Dalek Spacepod.

In 1965, Cherilea added models of a Dalek and Mechanoid to their range of toys.

This is the Cherilea Space Pod from the 1960s. Of course, this will be more recognisable as a Mechanoid, foe of the Daleks from The Chase.

The original Mechanoid toys weren't as popular as thought so Cherilea subsequently re-used the moulds of the Mechanoid body (with slight alterations) to produce a Space Pod for their range of Spacemen toys.

It measures about 11cms tall.

Its overall condition is good considering its age (see pictures).

It is great for any Doctor Who fan.
